Overview of the role

As a Senior Business Analyst, you are part of a cross-functional PMO team that delivers end to end solutions from conception to operation. You will use your analytical-thinking and problem-solving capabilities to collaborate with our Digital, PMO, product and business stakeholders to clearly define, document and communicate requirements that will enable implementation of large-scale Digital projects and transformation of our digital products. You will be a senior member of the team, shaping our work approaches, timelines and supporting other business analysts.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Evaluating solution options and consulting with a range of stakeholders to define and articulate business needs in a way that enables the design and delivery of digital solutions

• Build and establish relationships with all PMO customers by being proactive and using your initiative

• Lead requirements sessions, stakeholder interviews, group sessions, user observations and/or use other techniques to identify business need or requirement with stakeholders of all levels

• Interface regularly with business managers and C-suite to define project direction, system change priorities and business objectives

• Business case development and key documentation creation

• Translate user requirements into functional specifications

• Work closely with technical development teams to ensure specifications are “fit for purpose” and solutions meet user requirements and satisfaction

• Support development teams in specification refinements based on technical solution and help cascade back to business stake holders

• Perform root cause analysis to deploy appropriate methodologies for problem solving to ensure change required eradicates or reduces impacts

• Communicate key insights and findings to stakeholders / project team for evaluation

• Understand all internal processes and system dependencies, update process changes and record technology required to support it

• Gather and define specifications for all business requirements, translating into technical terms for our development and digital teams.

About you

• Excellent analytical skills. Adept at understanding complex problems and communicating findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Excellent knowledge of requirements gathering processes and proven analysis and problem-solving techniques

• Experience in managing relationships between external partners, business stakeholders and technical teams

• Experience in working across multiple complex products/services/system domains

• Exceptional communication & influencing skills with a strong stakeholder focus

• Proven experience of successfully facilitating workshops with business leads and external vendors, with the confidence to challenge

• Agile, Lean & Project Management methodology qualifications or technique awareness

• Excellent influencing skills, being able to identify and validate priorities and to gain agreement on requirements

• Be able to adapt to continual change, diverse, dynamic and agile environment

• Collaborative approach, able to balance the needs of multiple stakeholders and facilitate agreement across multiple parties

• Demonstrable experience of creating user stories, epics and acceptance criteria/scenarios

• 5+ years’ experience in a Digital product-led environment

• Open minded, inquisitive, life-long learner
