Overview of the role

As QA Test Analyst, you’ll be an integral member of a dynamic, self-organising team, working to create and implement sector leading software products and systems.

Your focus will be on undertaking manual tests, ensuring that software developed is fit for use, as well as ensuring any bugs or issues are removed prior to releasing to customers.

You’ll be responsible for creating, implementing, and writing thorough test plans as well as recording bugs in Jira. You’ll analyse user stories, features, and improvements as part of the planning process to identify any testing related issues. Where customers may report bugs their side, you’ll help with diagnosing those as well.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Test and validate user stories against set acceptance criteria

• Raise defects where issues are encountered

• Supporting delivery teams to assure quality of delivered artefacts (software products and services)

• Contribute to 3 amigos sessions, user story creation and refinement sessions

• Documenting and executing test scripts, evaluating acceptance criteria, capturing, and reviewing results

• Use of in browser devtools to report issues.

• Reporting and documentation of technical issues

• Helping to troubleshoot and fully define newly reported defects

• Post-release/post-implementation verification testing

• Exploratory testing and supporting in the creation of product documentation

• Close collaboration with teams to develop effective quality strategies and test plans, ensuring quality throughout the software development lifecycle

• Assessing software quality through manual and automated testing

About you

• Excellent collaborator, able to understand stakeholder perspectives and needs

• A working knowledge of or experience with test management software

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail

• An analytical approach to problem-solving

• Strong organisational skills

• A technical background

• Knowledge of vehicle leasing and e-commerce an advantage

• Familiarity with Agile frameworks beneficial

• Familiarity with scrum/kanban management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Trello or similar
