Overview of the role

The Paid Social Media Executive leads the Operational Management of all Paid Social activity across all Performance and Brand campaigns. You will be responsible for day-to-day partner relationships, budget management, campaign set up & optimisation, reporting & analysis. Your work will feed into overall Acquisition plans, supporting the wider business growth objectives. You will work closely with wider Paid Media, Organic Social & CRM channel specialists, as well as our Content and Creative Design teams to deliver the best results for the business.

You are very creative, yet insights driven and take an always-on approach to testing. You take pride in what you do and are passionate about our industry, keeping up to date with the latest developments in Social channels. You will combine your channel expertise with evidence-based analysis and an eye for excellent creative to support our customer through an e-commerce journey to upgrade what they drive.

A key part of this role is to align campaigns with other areas of Vanarama activity such as our above-the-line brand campaigns in TV, radio, and football sponsorship, as well as new platform/ technological opportunities.

Job Specification

• You will be responsible for budget management and optimisation across all Paid Social Media campaigns

• You will manage a full funnel activity, effectively connecting Brand, Consideration and Conversion campaigns across the full product portfolio

• You will lead the campaign development, through ongoing testing and proactive innovation

• You will optimise account performance, including targeting and creative optimisation

• You will support Acquisition with developing Paid Social campaign plans in-line with Paid Media Strategies & channel performance forecasting

• You will translate Media plans into effective Paid Social campaign structures, targeting & bidding approaches, and creative alignment

• You will manage day-to-day partner relationships

• You will have responsibility for maintaining Paid Social Media campaign reporting and supporting the team with insights and channel


• You will collaborate extensively with Paid Media & Organic Social channels, as well as Brand and Content Teams

Professional Skills

• 2 years+ experience within an active Paid Social Media role (agency or client side), with a proven ability to deliver successful campaigns

• Experience in running full funnel Paid Social campaigns across multiple product categories

• In-depth knowledge of the Paid Social Channels, with focus on Facebook & Instagram; hands-on experience of Twitter and/or LinkedIn

• In-depth experience In Paid Social reporting & KPI analysis, providing actionable insights to drive campaign optimisation

• In-depth experience in audience targeting & effective campaign optimisation

• Hands-on experience in driving campaign development through on-going testing

• Excellent knowledge of Paid Social creative formats and creative best practices

• Excellent understanding of media measurement, attribution and KPIs

• Excellent copy writing skills that adapt to brand guidelines and target audiences

• Experience working with GA or an alternative Analytics Platform

• Experience working with an FMP would be a plus

• Experience working with an Ad Server would be a plus
