Overview of the role

The PPC Specialist leads all in-house Paid Search (PPC) activity with a focus on commercial performance. You will be responsible for budget management and bid optimisation, lead day-to-day channel partner relationships, define and implement PPC Strategy, feeding into overall Paid Media plans, to support the wider business growth objectives. You will work closely with SEO & CRO channel teams, as well as our Brand team to deliver the best results for the business.

You are highly analytical, insights driven, continuously looking for ways to develop and improve PPC activity. You are passionate about our industry, keeping up to date with the latest innovations in PPC. You will combine a natural curiosity with evidence-based analytical analysis to support our customer through an e-commerce journey to upgrade what they drive. You will create best in class PPC optimisation, testing and targeting approaches, informed by customer insights, deep understanding of our conversion funnel and PPC best practice.

A key part of this role is to align our PPC campaigns with other areas of Vanarama such as our overall Paid Media activity, above-the-line brand campaigns in TV, radio and football sponsorship, as well as cross-platform, CRO and new platform/technological opportunities.

Duties And Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for budget management and optimisation across all PPC accounts

• You will be responsible for an effective bid management & optimisation towards agreed KPIs

• You will lead the account development, including targeting and creative optimisation, through on-going testing and proactive innovation

• You will develop PPC approach in-line with the Paid Media strategy

• You will manage day to day channel partner relationships

• You will support Paid Media Manager with PPC performance forecasting, reporting and analysis, providing actionable insights and recommendations

• You will support the team with training & developing junior members of the team

• You will proactively research and communicate market/audience/industry trends across the business

• You will collaborate extensively with SEO, Social, Affiliate and Video-Display channels

About you

Professional Skills

• 3 years+ proven track record in effectively managing large budget, complex PPC accounts - agency and/or client-side

• Extensive experience with manual and automated bid optimisation, working to achieve performance KPIs

• Excellent working knowledge of main Analytics Platforms & Search Engine UIs and their features

• Excellent ability to work at scale with large campaign builds, in line with PPC best practice and tailored to business goals and nature

• Strong experience in developing PPC reporting and providing actionable performance analysis & insights

• Experience in account testing and innovation, utilising latest Search Engine products and Alphas/Betas/ Experiments

• Working knowledge of at least 1-2 leading Bid Management solutions

• Working knowledge of Tag Management and Feed Management solutions

• Good understanding of tracking and attribution, omnichannel tracking would be a plus

• Experience in Ecommerce and/ or Finance Verticals would be a plus

• Experience in SEO and knowledge of the relationship between PPC, SEO and CRO would be a plus
